The Story:
In February 1987, architecture student Tiziana Redavid visited a friend's factory in Turin that manufactured industrial springs. The production halls were covered with coiled wires.
The young student was fascinated and, in a playful moment of imagination, adorned her wrists with the objects. She quickly discovered the resemblance to African art and the idea arose to reinterpret these industrial objects as pieces of jewelry.
A bracelet, for example, is made of 97 stainless steel springs, which adapt comfortably and lightly to the wearer's wrist. 97 springs for the launch year of “La Mollla®”, 1997.
“la Molla” is the Italian name for spring, which became the brand name of her label. The three “lll” are reminiscent of the dynamic movement of a spring.
With a well-thought-out strategy, the bracelet was first launched on the market in Paris. After a short time, the fashion capitals of London, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles ....... also discovered "La Mollla".
The press celebrated the creative jewelry as the discovery of the century.
