Thanks to its long-fiber structure, the merino wool is highly resistant to pilling and shrinking. As a result, the garment retains its shape and quality over a long period. Another remarkable advantage of merino wool is its high self-cleaning capability, enabled by the natural wool wax, lanolin. This makes the garment dirt-repellent and prevents unpleasant odors. By simply airing it out after wearing, you can maintain the freshness of the natural fibers and reduce the need for washing.

Optimal, value-preserving care for a premium product

1. Protect your garments
We recommend placing products made of fine animal fibers into a laundry bag or pillowcase. Ensure that the bag is properly closed. To provide even more protection, throw a few towels into the washing machine as a "cushion." Please do not add anything that could cause damage (e.g., jeans, T-shirts with patches of any kind, etc.). Naturally, only wash garments with similar colors.

2. Use only wool-specific mild detergent
It is important to choose a neutral detergent developed for delicate animal-fiber products (e.g., Tenemoll from our online shop). We recommend avoiding the use of fabric softeners.

3. Pay attention to water temperature
Use only cooler water for the wash and rinse cycles. Hot water not only causes discoloration but also damages the delicate fine animal fibers and causes them to shrink.

4. Select a gentle cycle
Always set your washing machine to the wool or hand-wash cycle (max. 30°) to prevent stretching or twisting of the items. If your washing machine allows you to select a spin cycle, ensure you choose the shortest possible setting or stop the spin process manually.

5. Do not use a dryer
Never use a tumble dryer for your fine animal-fiber products. Lay your washed garments flat to dry. Ensure you avoid direct sunlight or other heat sources that could cause damage. We recommend turning the items over at least once so they can dry thoroughly on both sides.
